A carillon for Cobralo
A participatory project with the residents of the Cobralo garden city
Integration of a sound sculpture: a “carillon”, as part of the 101e% program of the SLRB (Société du Logement de la Région de Bruxelles-Capitale) in collaboration with ABC.

Discover the project in a few words
The project is a sound sculpture: a carillon of 9 bells that will punctuate the time and activities of the Cité du Chat Botté neighborhood. The carillon will be a genuine communication tool, providing a spatial and temporal marker of identity. Indeed, when I met you, I learned that not so long ago, the bells of the Saint-Joseph church overlooking the plateau could be heard. Now, rendered mute by its reallocation, they leave a void and provoke a change in the urban soundscape.
So, let's reinvent a carillon!

Collection of audio testimonies
November 2024 > February 2025
The first stage in the participative creation process is the collection of sound testimonials. We'll be talking to residents about their musical memories, which will inspire the moments when the carillon will ring out. Find out more.
