Peanuts, bronze, 2015, édition 1/7
Collection artothèque B3, Liège.
This work was created especially for the Artothèque. It is the result of a reflection on the appropriation of the work by borrowers, and the desire to desacralize the work. If “Peanuts” means peanuts in English, it can also mean “trifle”, “nothing” or not much... The five peanuts cast in bronze are accompanied by a series of rules for borrowers to follow, inviting them to “play the game” very seriously (note the invitation “not to eat the peanuts”)
